Has the suspension of services by enforcement courts been abolished?
Summary of the body's answer: The Ministry answered that it has not been abolished; it is a discretionary measure the enforcement judge may impose, decline to impose, or lift after imposing it.
This answer was given under the previous Enforcement Law (1433 AH), replaced by the new Enforcement Law (M/237, 1447 AH) which took effect on 17/5/1448 AH (28 October 2026). The new law does not provide for a 'suspension of services' by that name; it relies on attachment of assets, a daily fine and a travel ban (Arts. 18 and 19). Consult a lawyer before relying on it.
